COMMUNITY ADVISORY GROUP

Your Voice Shapes Our Services

Who We Are

We started have 6 community advisory members these are people with lived experience, local Cardiff members. This group does not just give opinions they guide, review, and approve our major plans. No new service, project, or funding bid moves forward without their input.

Two men and a woman engage in outdoor yoga practice by a serene river.

Leadership

The group elects its own officers:

  • Advisory Group Chair — Leads meetings, sets the agenda, reports directly to the Board
  • Advisory Group Vice‑Chair — Supports the Chair, ensures inclusion, steps in when needed

Both the Chair and Vice‑Chair carry the group’s views to the Board.

How We Operate

  • We meet 4–6 times a year flexible: online, in person or both
  • Meetings last about 1.5 hours
  • Travel costs are covered
  • No qualifications needed just your perspective and your voice
  • Privacy respected — Members can choose to contribute publicly or confidentially. Your voice matters — your comfort comes first

Our Role

  • Help decide what projects and activities we run
  • Share what support you and people around you actually need
  • Give honest feedback on our plans before we move forward
  • Ensure everything we do is culturally informed, inclusive and accessible
  • Approve major proposals before they go ahead
